Meet Some Of Our Eminent Scholars!
设立“杰出学者”称号是为了表彰对大学有不同寻常的贡献和服务的教员. 只有在bet8体育娱乐入口(Old Dominion University)担任全职教授至少三年的教员才有资格获得这一荣誉. 只有当杰出学者身份被视为初始任命过程的一部分时，才可能免除这一要求. 部分正教授可被指定为杰出学者.
指定教员将永久持有该头衔, 须在大学刊物上刊登，并在大学任职期间，每年可获津贴. 所有杰出学者的名字都将出现在大学显眼的牌匾上.
Eligibility
Nominees shall have met the following criteria:
- 在bet8体育娱乐入口担任全职教授至少三个学年.

Nomination Process & Schedule
ONLY ELECTRONIC SUBMISSIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
提名杰出学者的所有教员都需要一封由被提名者所在学科的终身教员提交给被提名者所在系/学院主席和院长的信. 提名必须是一封强调申请人资格的书面信件，并提交给系/学院主席和院长 no later than September 15.
考生有责任提供足够的材料，以供系/学院同事和主席参考, the dean, 和杰出学者委员会来决定他们是否符合标准. In addition to an up-to-date curriculum vitae, 候选人的信应解释为什么他或她值得这一荣誉，以及提供了什么来证明指定为杰出学者的请求. 由国家认可的专家进行五次外部审查，证明候选人的工作在国内和国际上的声誉，应由部门/学校主席独立征求.

Award & Presentation
获奖者将在一年一度的学院和行政部门颁奖晚宴上获得证书. 此外，他们的名字将被添加到大学显眼的大牌匾上. In addition, 只要他们仍然是ODU的教员，获奖者将获得年薪补助. 接受者不需要(或被邀请)做陈述.
